Foxconn has introduced its Foxtron electric vehicles in the Czech Republic for the first time, using its Czech Tech Day exhibition to highlight the company’s strategy of expanding beyond electronics manufacturing into integrated mobility solutions.
Held at Foxconn’s facility in Pardubice, the event also featured artificial intelligence infrastructure, humanoid robotics and digital twin technologies.
Foxtron EVs Make Czech Debut
The exhibition showcased two Foxtron electric vehicle models.
The compact Model B offers a driving range of up to 516 kilometres, while the seven-seat Model D is designed for family and commercial use with a claimed driving range of up to 800 kilometres.
The event marks another step in Foxconn’s efforts to establish itself as a mobility technology provider rather than solely a contract electronics manufacturer.
Expanding Beyond Manufacturing
Foxconn said its long-term strategy is to integrate vehicle hardware, software and proprietary technology platforms into a unified mobility ecosystem.
“Through both the design and manufacturing of electric vehicles, Foxconn is fulfilling its long-term strategy of being not only a manufacturer of products and components, but also an integrator of comprehensive next-generation mobility solutions that combine hardware, software, and proprietary platforms developed in-house,” said Radka Svobodová, Compliance, PR and Communications Manager.
AI and Robotics on Display
In addition to its electric vehicles, Foxconn demonstrated a humanoid robot developed in collaboration with Nvidia.
The robot is capable of autonomous decision-making and performing assembly tasks in manufacturing environments.
The company also presented an Omniverse-based digital twin platform that connects physical production facilities with virtual real-time operational models, allowing manufacturing processes to be monitored and optimized digitally.
Foxconn operates facilities in Pardubice and Kutná Hora, where it employs approximately 4,500 people. The Czech operations also include production of artificial intelligence hardware, supporting the company’s broader expansion into advanced manufacturing and next-generation mobility technologies.
