Ford Motor said on Monday it will begin offering certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon Autos, expanding the e-commerce platform’s reach into used-car retail a year after Amazon launched online new-car sales with Hyundai.
Under the partnership, customers can browse inventory from participating Ford dealerships directly on Amazon’s platform, complete most of the purchasing process online, and schedule in-person pickup through local dealers.

Ford said all certified pre-owned vehicles sold via Amazon Autos include a money-back guarantee allowing buyers to return the vehicle within 14 days or 1,000 miles.
According to Ford, the collaboration keeps the dealership network central to the transaction while giving buyers an online shopping experience similar to other Amazon products.
Amazon Autos allows shoppers to search by model, trim, color, and features, as well as arrange financing and electronically sign required documents.
Amazon introduced Autos last year with a focus on new Hyundai vehicles. Ford’s entry marks Amazon’s first expansion into certified pre-owned car sales. The initial rollout will cover select U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with broader availability expected later.
