Finnish Man explodes Tesla after mechanics charge $23K to replace battery

A Finnish man blow up his Tesla car after being asked to replace the battery of an electric car worth $23,900.

The man named Tuomas Katainen originally bought a new Tesla Model S for 95,000 in 2013. After buying a Tesla Model S, he admitted that the electric car was an extraordinary car in its first 930 miles.

But after that, an “error code” appeared as reported by the New York Post, Friday (12/24/2021).

He then took the car to the nearest Tesla dealer for repair. After a month at the dealership, the mechanic said the battery needed to be replaced at a cost of $23,900.

Katainen then took his car and was about to blow it up. Through the YouTube account owned by YouTuber Pommijatkat, Katainen shared his experience along with the moments of the explosion of his car.

“Now I’m going to blow up the whole car,” said Katainen.

In the video, several people install explosives in the Tesla Model S electric car.

They carried out the stunt at a former mine in Jaala, southern Finland, where they installed about 33 kilograms of dynamite into the electric car.

According Gizmodo, they must consider various things such as the magnitude of the explosive material and the direction of the explosion to ensure safety.

In the video, Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s doll is dropped from a helicopter and ends with a massive explosion of Katainen’s Model S.

After the explosion, Pommijatkat asked Katainen which was better, a working Tesla or an exploding car with 33 kilograms of dynamite.

“Sort of both. Maybe more explosions,” Katainen replied.
