Toyota has launched a public sale of its newest portable and compact electric vehicle. Judging from its very simple form, it is intended for traveling within the city. The Toyota C+Pod is already available for consumers in Japan.

The electric car was first introduced in Japan last December for corporate and municipal customers, but will now also be available to individual buyers in the country. Toyota said the C+Pod will be offered through lease-purchase contracts across Japan.

This electric car has a maximum speed of up to 60 km / hour. The speed is arguably good enough for most daily trips in the city. The Toyota C+Pod is sure to appeal to city dwellers who are aware of their carbon footprint and looking for clean and sustainable solutions to everyday travel problems. It is a two-seater electric vehicle capable of traveling up to 150 km before the battery is recharged.

Toyota C+Pod is present as one of the compact electric vehicles on the market. It has dimensions that are among the smallest. The C+Pod is available in multiple color variants.

The lithium-ion battery inside has a capacity of 9.06 kWh. This battery can take up to 5 hours of charging time. This electric car has a turning radius of about 3.9 meters, allowing it to park in tight spaces.

Despite its compact size, the car is claimed to have enough space for the driver and passengers. The simple design of the dashboard is highlighted by the black and white colors in the interior. There are also no details at this time regarding its possible global availability.
