Fiat has opened orders for its all-electric Grande Panda in the United Kingdom, with the base model priced at £21,035 and deliveries scheduled to begin in November.
The Italian automaker is offering the Grande Panda as both a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and a mild-hybrid. The electric model features a 44 kWh battery and an 83 kW electric motor, capable of a top range of up to 199 miles and acceleration from 0-62 mph in 11 seconds. It supports DC fast charging of up to 100 kW. The mild-hybrid version pairs a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a 21 kW electric motor.
Fiat plans a nationwide preview tour for the new model from September 4 to October 11, allowing dealers to display the car ahead of customer deliveries. Giuseppe Cava, managing director of Fiat UK, said, “The several thousand registrations of interest on our website suggest that Grande Panda has already struck a chord with UK drivers, and we’re really looking forward to the preview tour starting.”
The Grande Panda, first unveiled in July 2024, measures 3.99 metres in length and 1.76 metres in width, with seating for up to five passengers and a 361-litre boot. Built on the CMP Smart Car platform, the electric model currently does not qualify for the UK government’s new Electric Car Grant scheme, but Fiat has introduced a £1,500 manufacturer subsidy.
