Fastned has appointed new country directors in Denmark, France and Switzerland as part of its strategy to accelerate international expansion and improve local decision-making, particularly in site selection.

France remains the company’s largest market among the three. Fastned entered France in 2021 and now operates around 60 charging parks, generating approximately €12.7 million in charging revenue last year. It is Fastned’s fourth-largest market after the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Longtime France country director Pierre Courgeon will transition into a strategic role within the company, focusing on strengthening operational leadership while continuing to support the French business. He will be succeeded by Sarah Wodehouse, who joins from BlaBlaCar, where she most recently served as Head of Business Transformation.

In Switzerland, where Fastned has been active since 2020 and currently operates 14 charging parks, Christine Zingg-Graf has been appointed country manager. She previously worked at SBB and will oversee further network expansion, supported by concession agreements from Astra covering motorway sites and locations near urban centres and transport hubs.

“Switzerland sits at the heart of European EV travel, and our ambition is to make driving within the country, whether for business, commuting or holidays, feel effortless. Urban centres and agglomerations are becoming just as critical as the highway network,” said Christine Zingg-Graf, Country Manager Switzerland at Fastned.

“The next phase is about scaling with discipline: building at crucial locations, growing through strong local partnerships, and delivering that growth in a transparent and sustainable way,” she added.

In Denmark, where Fastned has operated since 2023, Jesper Krüger Søndergaard has been appointed Country Director. He joins from Norbro Energi, where he worked for more than a decade. Fastned currently operates three charging parks in Denmark and plans to expand with nine additional sites through a combination of tenders, privately acquired locations and partnerships.
