Faraday Future Appoints Matthias Aydt as Global CEO, Xuefeng Chen Assumes Dual Role

Faraday Future (FF) has announced the appointment of Matthias Aydt as the new Global CEO, effective September 29, 2023. Simultaneously, Xuefeng Chen will assume the role of FF China CEO while taking on the position of Executive Vice President (EVP) of Global Industrialization within the company.

Matthias Aydt, a veteran with over seven years of experience at FF, has a robust background in the automotive industry, having held pivotal positions in Product Execution and leading Product Definition, Mobility Ecosystems, and Business Development. His career journey includes substantial roles at automotive companies and OEM suppliers, where he led teams in Project Management and Vehicle Engineering. With an impressive 40-year history in luxury Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Aydt possesses a deep understanding of manufacturing, technology, and operations. He has successfully developed multinational organizations and streamlined various processes related to design, development, program management, and simultaneous engineering. Aydt’s portfolio boasts more than 15 registered patents, underscoring his commitment to FF’s vision of a sustainable transportation future and its stakeholders.

Mr. Aydt’s primary focus as Global CEO will revolve around enhancing the production and delivery processes of the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance. In his own words, “FF is currently focusing on ramping up FF91 production and beginning to generate revenue, improvement of product and technology capabilities and the development of next-generation products including AI developments.” Aydt’s appointment is expected to bring valuable leadership and expertise to FF during this crucial phase of growth.

Concurrently, Xuefeng Chen will play a pivotal role as FF China CEO and take on the new responsibility of EVP of Global Industrialization. His mandate will include overseeing the launch of the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance in China and concentrating on strategic developments in both China and the United States. This will encompass business development plans and cost reduction strategies, marking a critical phase in FF’s expansion.

The appointment of Matthias Aydt and the strategic realignment of Xuefeng Chen underscore FF’s commitment to advancing its presence in the electric vehicle market, with a strong emphasis on efficient production processes and global strategic development.
