Exeed, the premium car brand under Chery, unveiled its latest model, the Sterra ET, on May 9, expanding its electric vehicle (EV) lineup. The Sterra ET, the second offering in the Sterra series following the Sterra ES sedan, comes in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options, a first for the brand.

The Sterra ET EREV is available in three variants, priced at RMB 189,800 ($26,280), RMB 205,800, and RMB 225,800 respectively, while the BEV version offers five variants with prices starting from RMB 229,800 up to RMB 319,800.

Measuring 4,955 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,698 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, the Sterra ET is a mid to large-size SUV that promises a spacious and comfortable ride. Its dimensions put it ahead of its EREV competitor, the Li L6 from Li Auto, in terms of length and width.

Powered by a 195 kW electric motor, the Sterra ET EREV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, offering a blend of performance and efficiency. Each EREV variant features a 32 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC battery range of 200 km and a full fuel and charge range of 1,518 km.

The Sterra ET BEV models boast battery capacities of 77 kWh and 100 kWh, offering CLTC ranges of 540 km, 625 km, 655 km, and 760 km, providing customers with a range of options to suit their driving needs.

According to Chery, the Sterra ET has already received 18,397 orders as of May 9, indicating strong consumer interest in the new model. Deliveries are set to begin on May 10, marking an important milestone for Exeed in the EV market.
