This British manufacturer claims that the MG4 is able to go as far as 450 km on a full charge, has a large cabin area and is equipped with many features.
For information, this electric car is also marketed in China under the name MG Mulan. It uses the new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) from parent company SAIC, which manufacturers say will play an important role in the brand’s future plans.
This modular platform is claimed to be capable of supporting wheelbases from 2,650 mm to 3,100 mm, and batteries from 40 kWh to 150 kWh, and is designed with the newly developed One Pack battery construction process in mind.
Additionally, the battery uses cells stacked horizontally to provide a floor height of only 110mm, with the battery forming an integral part of the platform structure.
With a compact integrated size Pack platform design, it allows consumers to make changes or changes to the battery according to their needs, such as using more power.
In terms of performance, the MG4 marketed in Europe and in the UK is equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel drive powertrain capable of blowing power up to 167 hp.
Meanwhile, the MG4 with dual motors and four-wheel drive will be available. These specifications make the MG 4 accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed limited to 160 kph.
MG itself has not announced an official price for this electric car, but it is reported that it will be one of the most affordable electric cars.
