Towards the end of 2022 Lexus announced the use of new batteries for three UX electric car models sold in Europe. Moreover, the Lexus UX 300e model for three years in the European market has not presented a change in range which is still at 305 km.
The Japanese car manufacturer seems to be bringing an update to the three UX models currently being sold in Europe, namely the UX 250h, UX 200, and UX 300e. One of them is the use of a new battery that was announced in October 2022.
All three models are given a new battery system, 72.8 kWh which allows 40 percent more range than before, to around 450 km. These changes are expected to take effect in the spring of next year, and the new battery will be accompanied at the front by an upgraded electric power steering and shock absorbers.
The electric Lexus UX gets a new multimedia system, which will be applied to the other two models. The system will offer a choice between 8 and 12-inch touchscreens and will offer greater connectivity, faster operation and easier, cloud-based navigation.
According to Lexus, the range, in terms of safety, Intersection Turning Assist, Emergency Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control now has Curve Speed Reduction. For the UX 250h and UX 200, Lexus is also preparing a new grade called F Sport Design, but also a new exterior bi-tone paint job.
Additionally, the UX F Sport gets Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) as standard. Lexus did not mention the price change for this SUV as a result of the upgrade. More information about it will probably be revealed more clearly when it launches to the market.
