EDP Comercial, a subsidiary of the EDP Group, has partnered with GreenFlux to integrate their digital platform for intelligent charging. As one of the leading energy companies in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil, EDP offers e-mobility services to over 50,000 EV drivers. The partnership involves the use of GreenFlux’s cloud-based platform to offer end-to-end EV charging and energy management services, primarily for customers in Portugal and Spain. EDP has already contracted over 3,500 charging points in the Iberian Peninsula and aims to have more than 7,000 by 2026.
EDP’s objective is to create a future-proof platform that can expand its e-mobility network, enhance its customer services, and prepare future business cases. GreenFlux offers centralised, hardware-independent smart charging functions, including charging station and card management, roaming, payments, and charging processing.
