What if the two electric vehicles with the greatest power on the market were pitted against a drag race. DragTimes just shared a video of the quarter-mile drag race between the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Lucid Air Dream Edition P.
On paper, the Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance comes with 1,111 hp (828 kW) and the Tesla Model S Plaid with about 1,020 hp (about 760 kW).
In terms of vehicle weight, the Lucid Air feels heavier than the Tesla Model S Plaid. Of these, the difference is about 403 lbs or 8% – 5,236 lbs vs 4,833 lbs.

In this race the Lucid Air is geared for highway driving, which indicates that the Air might turn out to be quicker in the roll race format, rather than from a standing start.
The results were predictable. Of the four rounds of matches, the Tesla Model S Plaid won three of them. Lucid Air only won once, when the Tesla Model S Plaid was launched without using Launch Mode.
