German mobility services company DKV Mobility has completed the full acquisition of Belgian e-mobility platform provider Optimile, strengthening its software and charging infrastructure capabilities across Europe.
DKV Mobility acquired the shares previously held in Optimile by BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

“For Optimile and its customers, the transaction ensures continuity while opening up additional growth opportunities,” the companies said in a statement. “The company gains access to expanded resources to accelerate the further development of its platform and strengthen its market position.”
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Ghent, Optimile operates a modular software-as-a-service platform for e-mobility service providers and charge point operators.
The platform offers services including charging authorization, monitoring, access management, and pan-European charging roaming. Optimile also operates in the consumer market through its Mobiflow charging services brand.

DKV Mobility said the acquisition primarily targets Optimile’s platform and software operations rather than its end-customer business.
Sebastian Klauke, chief executive of DKV Mobility, said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s broader e-mobility platform strategy.
“E-mobility is a key growth driver for DKV Mobility,” Klauke said. “By expanding our technology and service capabilities through Optimile, we significantly strengthen our platform strategy and our ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end e-mobility solutions that reduce complexity for our customers across the entire value chain.”

Sven Mehringer, managing director responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility, said the company intends to continue expanding Optimile’s platform under its new ownership.
“Belgium is one of Europe’s strongest and fastest-growing eMobility markets, making it an ideal environment for growth and innovation,” Mehringer said.
“Optimile has emerged as a fast-growing leader at the heart of this dynamic market, with deep software expertise in the e-mobility space. Its clear mission to enable intelligent, sustainable, and user-friendly electric mobility is an excellent fit with our strategy and our purpose,” he added.
Belgium has become one of the European Union’s larger electric vehicle markets, supported in part by incentives in the corporate vehicle sector. According to recent statistics from ACEA, Belgium registered 39,469 new battery-electric vehicles in the first quarter of the year.
