Denza, the premium brand from BYD, is set to launch its latest offering, the N8 SUV. A luxury version of the BYD Tang, the N8 follows in the footsteps of the discontinued Denza X, which failed to live up to sales expectations. With a large glass roof, a center screen, and six seats, the N8 SUV is designed to provide unparalleled comfort and style.
Denza, originally a joint venture between Mercedes and BYD, is now owned primarily by BYD, with the German automaker holding just a 10% stake. While the D9 MPV and the recently released N7 SUV were designed independently of the BYD model lineup, the N8 SUV is the posh twin of the BYD Tang.

Following the vehicle’s appearance on the MIIT listing last month, Denza has finally revealed the interior of the N8 SUV, which is nothing short of impressive. With a large, sliding glass roof, a six-seat configuration, and captain chairs in the middle row, the cabin has an airline-like feel.
The N8 SUV is larger than its BYD Tang sibling, with a wheelbase that is 10mm longer. The N8 is nearly 4.95 meters long, making it 12cm longer than the Tang. Most of the added length is in the third seating row.
The N8 SUV will be available in two plug-in hybrid versions and two battery-powered EV trims. The single electric motor version has a power output of 230kW, while the AWD model has a serious 430kW of peak power, promising a lightning-fast SUV.

Denza is rapidly growing its model lineup thanks to BYD’s extensive production facility network. The D9 MPV has been on sale for several months, and the N7 SUV is already available for pre-order. Denza aims to sell at least 6,000 N7 SUVs this month alone, with a target of 30,000 orders before the official launch.
Once the N8 SUV joins the lineup, Denza hopes to sell 20,000 vehicles every month. This ambitious goal is not out of reach for BYD, which is taking over China’s automotive industry. With its impressive features and upscale design, the Denza N8 SUV is set to be a game-changer in the luxury SUV market.
