Denza D9 gets 3,000 orders in just 30 minutes

The Denza D9 is a new MPV that is booming in China. Denza itself is a car brand issued by the collaboration between BYD China and Mercedes-Benz.

In terms of dimensions, the Denza D9 is much larger than the Alphard. This car measures 5,520 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,920 mm tall. While the wheelbase reaches 3,110 mm.

The Denza D9 so far has only been marketed specifically for the Chinese local market. There, consumers can choose from two powertrains. The first is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), using a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine combined with an electric motor.

In addition to the PHEV option, there is a second option which is a fully electric AWD powertrain with a mileage of 600 km. The electric version even offers a fast charging feature of 166 kW, where 30 minutes of charging percent-80 percent only takes 30 minutes. So, fairly fast and very practical.

From the interior side, the Denza D9 offers a quite luxurious appearance. First there is a large panoramic sunroof which makes the area inside feel spacious. Then there is also a mini fridge that is installed under the arm rest, as well as chairs that can be adjusted to 10 different sitting positions. Don’t forget as a sweetener, there is a footrest, heater, air vent, 10 massage function points, and don’t miss a wireless charger.

According to the manufacturer, the new car immediately sold 3000 units in just 30 minutes. The Denza D9 is offered with prices ranging from 335,000 yuan – 460,000 yuan. There is also a limited-production model of only 99 units, priced at 660,000 yuan.
