DeepRoute.ai, a leading developer of autonomous driving solutions, has just announced the release of its Driver 3.0 solution, which features a cutting-edge HD map-free system. With Driver 3.0, DeepRoute.ai has become one of the first companies to successfully complete HD map-free self-driving public road tests, offering valet park assist (VPA) and point-to-point navigation on all roads without operational design domain (ODD) restrictions.
The release of Driver 3.0 is set to address many OEM concerns regarding the high cost of mapping and maintenance, as well as geo-fencing limitations. Vehicles integrated with Driver 3.0 will hit the market later this year, with over-the-air (OTA) software continuously equipping the cars with more advanced functions and services in the future.
Based in Shenzhen, China, DeepRoute.ai is also one of the first companies to win a production contract from automotive manufacturers to produce autonomous vehicles for consumer use. The company has made significant strides in the industry, having operated Robotaxi service in the central business districts of Shenzhen and accumulated over 6.2 million miles across multiple cities. In mid-2022, DeepRoute.ai will also be the first to start commercial deployment of autonomous driving trucks in China.

According to Maxwell Zhou, CEO of DeepRoute.ai, the company is committed to rapidly bringing highly advanced, affordable autonomous driving to automotive OEMs. Unlike most other autonomous driving solution providers, DeepRoute.ai focuses on developing and commercializing one autonomous driving framework by first deploying ADAS functionality. Once ADAS-equipped cars are widely available, relevant regulations are in place, and the public better understands autonomous driving, OEMs can upgrade to full autonomy via over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. Zhou added that “not relying on HD maps, smart driving will be available everywhere and affordable for automakers and consumers alike.”
With headquarters in Shenzhen, China, and offices in Beijing and Fremont, California, DeepRoute.ai is at the forefront of the autonomous driving industry. The company’s Driver 3.0 HD map-free solution is set to revolutionize the way autonomous vehicles navigate public roads, making the technology more affordable and accessible to everyone.
