Rizon, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck, has completed its first official electric truck delivery in Canada, handing over an e18L model with a dump body to Villamar Construction in Victoria, British Columbia.
The delivery marks the beginning of a broader rollout, with 18 additional units set to reach customers across British Columbia and Quebec in the coming weeks.
“This handover marks a significant step for Daimler Truck in bringing zero-emission commercial vehicles to Canadian businesses,” said Andreas Deuschle, Global Head of Rizon Truck. “Commercial EVs are no longer a future concept—they’re here, hitting the road and serving in communities across Canada.”
Rizon’s electric trucks qualify for a federal incentive of CAD 75,000 under the iMHZEV Program, with additional provincial subsidies available. The company, which entered the Canadian market in 2024, offers four models—e16L, e16M, e18L, and e18M—designed for various commercial applications.
