CUPRA KIRO has announced the signing of 20-year-old Spanish racer Pepe Martí for the 2025/26 Formula E season, marking his debut in the all-electric series after a successful stint in Formula 2.
Martí, who hails from Barcelona, spent the past two seasons in Formula 2, securing four wins and eight podiums. Before that, he finished third in the F4 Spanish Championship and was runner-up in the Formula Regional Asian Championship in 2021. He went on to earn three victories and four podium finishes during his second year in FIA Formula 3.

“I’m very excited to join CUPRA KIRO for the 2025/26 Formula E season,” Martí said. “Obviously, it will be my first time racing in the category, and I’ll be a rookie, but nonetheless, I’m looking forward to it. The team is coming into Season 12 off the back of a win in Jakarta, and I feel very motivated to get this new chapter started.”
Martí will race alongside British driver Dan Ticktum as CUPRA KIRO targets further success following its breakthrough victory last season. Managed by A14 Management — a driver development program co-founded by Fernando Alonso — Martí becomes the fifth Spanish driver to compete in Formula E, joining Jaime Alguersuari, Oriol Servia, Antonio Garcia, and Roberto Merhi.

“Welcoming Pepe to CUPRA KIRO marks an exciting new chapter for the team,” said Russell O’Hagan, Chief Operating Officer of CUPRA KIRO. “Despite being just 20 years old, Pepe has shown exceptional levels of maturity, composure, and intelligence, which, when combined with his natural speed, makes him stand out as a top talent in modern motorsport.”
Martí will make his debut appearance for CUPRA KIRO during pre-season testing at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia next week, before heading to São Paulo, Brazil, for the opening round of the 2025/26 Formula E season on December 6.
