The new drivetrain also offers an impressive 260nm of immediate torque, providing a thrilling driving experience. The improved battery technology boasts an 80% nickel, 10% manganese, and 10% cobalt ratio, resulting in an improved energy density and longer lifespan compared to the previous 50kWh battery’s 60% nickel, 20% manganese, and 20% cobalt ratio.
The Shine trim level will be the only option with the more powerful drivetrain for now, while the Live, Feel, and Feel Pack trim levels will retain the 50kWh battery and 100kW electric motor. Citroen’s commitment to providing fast charging options for both battery configurations is demonstrated with the inclusion of a heat pump in both models.
