Citroen has announced the availability of the New ë-Berlingo electric van in the UK, with prices starting at £37,990. The new model features a significant upgrade, including a new LFP battery with a usable energy content of 50 kWh, offering a WLTP range of up to 345 kilometers.
The new battery, combined with a standard heat pump, allows for improved range even in challenging conditions. Citroen claims that the ë-Berlingo can be charged from zero to 80 percent in just 30 minutes using a 100 kW DC rapid charger.
In addition to the technical improvements, the New ë-Berlingo offers enhanced comfort with Citroen Advanced Comfort Seats in the front and three individual seats in the second row for the M model.
The electric van is available in two body lengths, M and XL, with the XL version offering two additional optional seats in the third row. The XL model can hold up to 4,000 liters of cargo with all rear seats removed, making it ideal for transporting long items.
The New ë-Berlingo is manufactured at the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port, highlighting Citroen commitment to electric mobility.
Citroen has also opened order books for the New ë-SpaceTourer, which is available in two body lengths and can seat up to nine people. The electric van is available in two trim levels, YOU! and MAX, with a choice of 50 kWh or 75 kWh battery options, offering a maximum WLTP range of 217 miles.
Moreover, Citroen has announced the new electric version of the New ë-Dispatch and the ë-Relay, with the former being produced in limited numbers at Luton alongside the combustion engine version starting in 2025. The ë-Dispatch is available in two lengths, M and L, and in several body styles, including as a panel van and a five or six-seater extended cab.
