Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Rox Motor has unveiled a new model, the Rox Adamas, as part of its efforts to expand its product lineup and strengthen its presence in overseas markets.
The Adamas, unveiled at a launch event on Tuesday, succeeds the Rox 01 and marks the company’s latest entry into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment. The model is positioned as a core offering in Rox Motor’s portfolio, with the automaker aiming to accelerate growth outside China.
The Rox Adamas is offered in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations and retains the exterior design language of the Rox 01. The vehicle measures 5,050 mm in length, 1,985 mm in width and 1,856 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,010 mm. Curb weight is listed at 2,715 kilograms.
The company said the model will be available in two pricing tiers. The seven-seat version is priced at 349,900 yuan ($49,900), while the six-seat variant is priced at 359,900 yuan. Limited-time promotional pricing reduces those figures to 334,900 yuan and 344,900 yuan, respectively.
Powering the Adamas is a 1.5-liter range-extender engine paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering a combined output of 350 kW and 740 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
Energy storage is provided by a 44.5-kWh ternary lithium battery supplied by CATL, enabling a CLTC-rated electric-only range of 215 kilometers. When combined with the fuel tank, the total driving range reaches up to 1,405 kilometers, according to the company.
Rox Motor said the Adamas builds on the foundation of the Rox 01, which was launched in August 2023 and positioned as a competitor to extended-range SUVs such as Li Auto’s Li L8. The company has focused heavily on overseas markets since its founding in 2021, expanding into more than 40 countries and regions and achieving a reported 10% share of the luxury off-road segment priced above $80,000 in the United Arab Emirates.
