Chinese electric heavy-duty truck startup Zeron said on Tuesday it had completed a $200 million Series B2 funding round as the company accelerates development of its autonomous driving truck business.

Investors participating in the round included Zijin Mining, Shandong Energy Group through its Yankuang Capital unit, and Sanhua Holding Group. International investors included Temasek and InnoVen Capital.

Zeron said the participation of industrial investors would support expansion in mining transportation and industrial logistics applications, while international investor involvement reflected continued global interest in China’s autonomous driving sector.

The funding round marks the company’s second major financing event within two months. Combined with the 1.2 billion yuan ($176 million) fundraising completed in March, Zeron said its total financing over the period has reached about $400 million.

The company said the new funding would support the next stage of its growth and commercialization plans.

Zeron’s shareholder base also includes earlier investors such as CATL through Puquan Capital, Nio Capital and autonomous driving technology company Momenta.

The startup was founded in 2022 by Huang Zehua, a former co-founder of TuSimple. Its management team also includes Zhang Hongsong, former general manager of Sany Heavy Truck.

Zeron said it aims to build a vertically integrated hardware and software platform to support advanced autonomous driving systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

The company added that its operating cash flow turned positive in the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to Zeron, sales of its new energy heavy-duty trucks in the first four months of 2026 were five times higher than the same period a year earlier, following nearly 300% sequential sales growth during the second half of 2025.

The company also said it is continuing to advance commercialization of autonomous driving technologies using an incremental deployment strategy focused on specific operational scenarios.

Heavy-duty trucks equipped with end-to-end and multimodal large-model autonomous driving systems have already entered testing in closed operational environments, Zeron said, adding that it plans to expand its fleet size to accelerate system development and iteration.
