Chevrolet wants to turn the Silverado EV Trail Boss into a tough electric pickup

Recently, Chevrolet has released the first images of the Silverado EV Trail Boss, which it claims will be a formidable electric pickup against the Ford F-150 Lightning and Cybertruck.

The EV Trail Boss has a design that combines a WT-style black front fascia with an RST-style headlight bar and a more aggressive front bumper.

Trail Boss looks more manly because it adopts a red recovery hook and unique wheels wrapped in off-road rubber.

Reportedly, this car will have an adaptive air suspension. This feature allows users to raise or lower the vehicle up to 2 inches (50 mm).

The Trail Boss’ specifications remain a mystery, but the WT type itself will have an output of 510 hp (375 kW / 517 PS) and 615 lb-ft (834 Nm) of torque.

Likewise, the top rated RST First Edition will have 664 hp (495 kW / 673 PS) and 780+ lb-ft (1,056+ Nm) of torque.

Both pick-ups are slated to have a range of over 400 miles (644 km), but Chevrolet hinted the Silverado EV will be offered with multiple battery packs.

No specific details regarding battery and range, but Chevrolet notes a range of 400+ miles or more than 644 km is possible with the 24-module Ultium battery.

Pricing for the Trail Boss is also unclear, but the Silverado EV will start at $39,900 and go up to $105,000 for the RST First Edition.

However, Chevrolet confirmed there will be many versions in the price range of 50,000 – 80,000 US dollars.
