The manufacturer from the United States, Chevrolet, doesn’t seem to want to be left behind in the competition for electric-powered vehicles. Kali packs a pure Chevrolet Silverado carrying a battery as a source of performance.

As a double cabin which is claimed to have the ability to be equivalent to a Chevrolet petrol or diesel truck. General Motors provides an estimate for a single battery charge, the Silverado EV can travel 643 km for a choice of Work Truck (WT) and RST types.

From the electric motor, it is able to muster 664 hp of power and 1,057 Nm of torque. This can be achieved with Wide Open Watts Mode in the RST type. Regarding acceleration 0-96 kph can be achieved in 4.5 seconds.

The Silverado EV is built on the Ultium platform, as part of GM’s strategy in electric vehicles to create an emissions-free future.

“The Ultium Platform allows designers and engineers to start from a clean sheet and create a pickup with impressive performance and capabilities,” said Nichole Kraatz, Silverado EV Chief Engineer.

The Ultium battery pack contains 24 modules that are part of the vehicle’s structure, allowing for further exploration. In addition to the toughness of the pickup, it turns out that it still provides comfort and gives confidence to drive on-road and off-road.

Comfort in various terrains thanks to the application of independent suspension at the front and rear. The source of power is directed directly to the wheels measuring 24 inches. As for the RST, it uses a motor at the front and rear via the e4WD system. Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension allows the Silverado EV to be adjusted in height by up to 50 mm.

The need for electricity when recreation can be obtained through the PowerBase accessory. There are ten plugs with a total of 10.2 kW, can also be used as a home power source when an emergency is needed.
