ChargeZone, India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network operator, has inaugurated the country’s largest EV charging hub in Bengaluru, with more than 200 charging points and a total capacity exceeding 4 megawatts. The company is aiming to serve the growing demand for EV infrastructure in the southern technology hub known as India’s “Silicon Valley.”
Located in Karnataka’s capital, the new site includes 80 direct current (DC) fast chargers with dual charging guns and 50 alternating current (AC) chargers. The facility can accommodate up to 210 EVs charging simultaneously and operates 24/7. With provisions for electric cars, intercity buses and heavy-duty trucks, the hub is designed to support the shift to electric mobility across a broad spectrum of transport segments.
“This hub represents a significant milestone in our mission to advance India’s electric mobility,” said Kartikey Hariyani, ChargeZone Founder and CEO. “It is more than just a charging facility; it is a comprehensive ecosystem built to meet the evolving needs of electric vehicle users nationwide.”
The company says the DC fast chargers can recharge vehicles in 35 to 45 minutes, and although no queues are anticipated, the facility also includes customer waiting lounges.
ChargeZone operates more than 13,500 charging points at over 1,200 locations across India and the UAE. It has been investing in both urban and highway charging infrastructure, with a focus on scaling up support for electric buses and commercial transport.
According to data from the Bangalore Mirror, the city had about 273,000 EVs and 5,880 charging stations as of April 2025. Indian think tank CSTEP projects this number could rise to more than 2.3 million EVs by 2030.
