ChargePoint has launched a redesigned software platform aimed at managing electric-vehicle charging operations across fleets, charge-point operators, commercial facilities and automotive manufacturers.
The platform supports mixed hardware environments, including any charger that complies with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), enabling operators to oversee and optimise large networks of stations regardless of vendor.

The system integrates AI-based optimisation that evaluates usage patterns, energy supply conditions, charger availability and vehicle data. It can adjust charging schedules, predict maintenance needs and support demand-based pricing strategies. A new waitlist function places drivers in a virtual queue and alerts them when a connector becomes available, a feature designed to improve utilisation at high-traffic locations.
ChargePoint said station activation has been streamlined through its Installer App, allowing operators to bring multi-site and multi-hardware deployments online more easily. Monitoring and control tools are accessible through pre-configured or customised dashboards, scheduled reports or an AI-assisted data interface.
Hosts can also implement dynamic pricing that responds to demand, energy markets or business rules. Energy-management tools include live load balancing, integration with demand-response programmes and support for renewable power sources.
The cloud-native architecture consolidates capabilities from ChargePoint’s earlier charger-management and fleet-telematics systems, supported by end-to-end encryption and continuous monitoring. A redesigned interface provides personalised dashboards, real-time operational views, guided workflows and mobile access, with support for multiple languages and accessibility standards. “The new ChargePoint Platform is more than just modernised software; it is a catalyst for an electrified future,” CEO Rick Wilmer said.
