German e-mobility software company chargecloud GmbH said on Monday it has expanded into Spain, joining industry association Aedive and securing initial clients for its charging infrastructure management platform.

The company appointed Joel Martín as country manager to oversee the rollout of its 360° SaaS platform for charging point operators, fleet managers and energy providers. “Our aim is to support e-mobility growth by partnering with local players and offering the tools they need to scale smart and reliable charging networks,” Martín said in a statement.

chargecloud said it has already signed a hotel chain in northern Spain to provide charging services for guests. To boost industry cooperation, the firm joined Aedive, which brings together businesses and institutions working to advance electric mobility in the country.

“Spain is a strategically important market for us, as the country is currently undergoing a dynamic development in electromobility,” said Oliver Adrian, COO/CRO at chargecloud. “We will use our comprehensive expertise and many years of experience to actively shape the market.”

The company plans to showcase its software at two upcoming trade fairs, including Efintec in Barcelona in October and Genera in Madrid in November. The move follows chargecloud’s recent expansion into Italy and forms part of its wider internationalization strategy.
