The visit by Changan Chairman Zhu Huarong to Haier’s Qingdao headquarters on November 6–7 marked the latest step in cooperation following an agreement signed in July that aims to combine the strengths of both companies in new energy, supply chains, and global brand development.

The collaboration includes the development of a “vehicle-home ecosystem,” combining smart appliances with automotive applications, co-developing automotive products, and establishing logistics solutions such as cold-chain networks. The partnership also covers co-creation of vehicle models, customized modifications, media integration, and expansion of overseas service networks.

Changan’s premium intelligent NEV brand, AVATR, announced that it will work with Haier’s automotive subsidiary CARtech on its upcoming high-end flagship model. The initiative will focus on seamless vehicle-home interconnectivity, in-car feature development, and tailored product customization.

Haier proposed integrating its Casarte-branded appliances, including air conditioners, refrigerators, and oxygen concentrators, into AVATR vehicles to enhance user experience across home and vehicle environments.

The companies plan joint R&D based on consumer insights to create integrated automotive and home solutions. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the rollout of co-developed products, combining Changan’s automotive expertise with Haier’s smart appliance capabilities to offer a premium, technology-driven mobility experience.
