CASE Construction Equipment has introduced four new mini excavator models this week, including the all-electric CX25EV, designed to offer emissions-free operation without sacrificing performance compared to its diesel counterparts. The electric excavator is now in production and on its way to customers, following its initial announcement as part of CASE’s broader electrification initiative last year.
The CX25EV features a 32.3 kWh lithium-ion battery and supports DC fast charging, allowing for a 20% to 80% charge in under an hour and a full charge in less than two hours. CASE says the machine delivers 4,950 pounds of traction force and is tailored for use in noise- and emission-sensitive environments, including indoor demolition and trenching tasks.
Engineered with operator comfort and versatility in mind, the CX25EV includes three auxiliary hydraulic circuits, customizable electrohydraulic controls, and a short-radius design to navigate tight worksites. Its compatibility with quick couplers and multiple attachments adds to its adaptability across various tasks.
CASE emphasized that the new machine aligns with shifting industry needs, including labor shortages and stricter jobsite requirements. “Helping crews meet the demands of the modern worksite is what drives our practical approach to innovation,” said Terry Dolan, head of CNH Construction Brands, North America, in the product announcement.
The electric model complements CASE’s growing lineup of compact equipment, aimed at providing efficient, easy-to-maintain, and transport-friendly solutions for modern construction needs. The launch underscores CASE’s commitment to expanding its electric offerings while meeting the performance expectations of diesel-powered machines.
