Capacity Trucks Unveils Zero Emissions Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Terminal Truck

Capacity Trucks, a manufacturer of trucks designed for port, intermodal, and distribution/warehouse applications, is set to unveil its new Zero Emissions Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric terminal truck at the upcoming Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

This advanced terminal truck is the result of Capacity’s ten-year journey towards zero emissions, during which it partnered with leading suppliers of alternative fuel powertrains to engineer new products that could meet the needs of the industry.

“We applied our nearly 50 years of industry leadership and worked closely with our partners to develop this groundbreaking zero emissions terminal truck,” said Wes Downing, Vice President & General Manager of Capacity Trucks. “We assessed the needs of our industry and intentionally designed features and capabilities to meet those challenges.”

Capable of handling a Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR) of up to 180,000 pounds, this next-generation yard truck is designed to operate for at least one full shift before refueling. And with the ability to refuel in just 15 minutes, the same time it takes to refuel a traditional diesel truck, this H2 truck is expected to deliver impressive efficiency gains for fleet operators.

The Zero Emissions Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric truck will be on display at Capacity’s TMC booth #1259, and will also be featured at the ACT Expo in Anaheim, California, in May 2023. This state-of-the-art addition to REV Group’s growing line of zero emissions products is expected to generate a lot of interest from heavy-duty trucking industry players seeking low-emissions alternatives they can trust.
