Cake, the innovative Swedish manufacturer of lightweight electric motorcycles, is set to make a big impact in China, Mexico, and Greece, thanks to a series of new distribution and production partnerships. In total, Cake plans to sell over 200,000 electric motorcycles in these countries, reflecting the growing global demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
The most significant deal is with Shanghai Forever, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer and distributor based in China. This collaboration will see 150,000 Cake bikes manufactured and sold in China over the next four years, providing an excellent opportunity to tap into one of the world’s largest markets. With Forever as its partner, Cake is well-positioned to influence millions of people in China to adopt high-quality, long-lasting electric vehicles and green renewable energy solutions.
In Mexico, Cake has partnered with motorcycle manufacturer Italika and Citio, a Mexican company that offers the country’s first battery exchange network. The collaboration with Italika is expected to result in the manufacture and sale of 50,000 Cake bikes in Mexico over the next few years. To meet demand in North America, Italika and Citio’s manufacturing and assembly capabilities will be incorporated into the production process.
In Greece, Cake has entered into a distribution-only partnership with Automotive Solutions, which includes an order for 1,500 electric motorcycles. These bikes will be distributed throughout Greece and Cyprus from the second quarter of 2023. This deal marks the beginning of Cake’s expansion into Europe, with plans to expand its distribution network further across the continent, as well as Asia, the Middle East, Australia, South America, and Africa.
Cake’s CEO and Founder, Stefan Ytterborn, is delighted with the company’s recent success, stating that “getting into one of the biggest markets with the optimal partner feels amazing.” He believes that Cake’s electric motorcycles offer an opportunity to contribute to high-quality, long-lasting vehicles while also helping to decrease consumption by promoting products that last longer. With the recent partnerships, Cake is well-positioned to influence people worldwide to embrace sustainable transportation solutions that are good for the planet and good for their pocketbooks.
Cake’s commitment to sustainability and innovation is reflected in its design philosophy, which emphasizes lightweight, durable construction and long-lasting batteries. By partnering with established companies in key markets worldwide, Cake is positioning itself as a leading player in the growing electric motorcycle industry, and its distribution updates will be eagerly anticipated by industry observers and customers alike.
