General Motors is striving to surpass Tesla as the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer by 2025, and it’s making steady progress toward that goal. The company recently announced that Cadillac will unveil three new fully electric models later this year, with plans to start production in 2024.

While General Motors’ EV rollout began with high-end models, such as the Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV and the enormous and pricey GMC Hummer EV pickup truck, the automaker has confirmed that it will launch an electric Silverado pickup truck, as well as electric versions of the Equinox and Blazer SUVs.

Harvey did not provide details about the vehicles, but he noted that some of them will be produced and sold globally, which could affect rollout timelines in different markets.
