Cadillac has launched the LYRIQ-V in China with a starting price of RMB 399,900 (approximately US$59,100), introducing the brand’s first locally produced V-Series model in the country and its first all-electric V-Series sport utility vehicle.

The company said production will be limited to 124 units, marking Cadillac’s 124th anniversary. The launch also coincides with the brand’s entry into Formula 1, which Cadillac said reflects its efforts to connect its motorsport heritage with its expanding electric vehicle portfolio.

Electric Powertrain Delivers High Performance

The LYRIQ-V is equipped with a silicon carbide dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that incorporates technologies such as dual-sided water cooling and segmented magnets.

According to Cadillac, the system produces up to 465 kW of power and 863 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The company said these figures make the LYRIQ-V the fastest Cadillac model currently available in China.

Will Stacy, Vice President of Cadillac in China, said the vehicle represents a new chapter for the V-Series performance brand.

“LYRIQ-V brings the spirit of Cadillac V-Series into a new era for China,” Stacy said.

“It expresses the V-Series DNA and craftsmanship that define Cadillac, while delivering a distinctly electric driving experience for customers who expect both excitement and refinement.”

Chassis and Braking Tuned for Performance

Cadillac said the LYRIQ-V benefits from V-Series-specific chassis reinforcement and suspension tuning, developed in part through testing at the Milford Proving Ground.

The vehicle features front and rear five-link independent suspension systems, Brembo six-piston performance brakes, 21-inch lightweight flow-formed alloy wheels and V-tuned Continuous Damping Control dampers.

Drivers can also access dedicated performance settings through a steering-wheel-mounted V-Mode button, which works alongside a V-Series-exclusive digital instrument display and customized sound profiles.

Distinctive Exterior and Premium Interior

As Cadillac’s first all-electric V-Series SUV, the LYRIQ-V measures 5,013 mm in length, 1,977 mm in width and 1,627 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,094 mm.

The exterior incorporates aerodynamic elements including a front splitter, side air guides, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. An exclusive gray paint finish featuring a nanoscale matte treatment is also available.

Inside, the SUV is equipped with V-Series sport seats upholstered in Fine Nappa full-grain leather. The seats include adjustable side bolsters as well as heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions.

The cabin also features a 23-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos technology and four overhead speakers configured in a 7.1.4 surround-sound arrangement.

Safety Structure Emphasizes Protection

Cadillac said the LYRIQ-V uses a cage-style body structure featuring 17 horizontal and 10 vertical load paths.

According to the company, high-strength steel and stronger materials account for 74.8% of the vehicle’s body structure, while 99.9% of the battery pack structure is constructed from high-strength steel or above-grade materials designed to enhance battery protection.

Customers in China can place orders through Cadillac’s authorized dealer network as well as the company’s official mobile app and online mini-program platform.
