Cadillac has finalized specifications for the 2025 Escalade IQ, its first all-electric SUV, boasting a General Motors-estimated range of 460 miles (740 km). The Escalade IQ, starting at $130,000, represents a luxury leap for the brand, combining advanced EV technology with the iconic Escalade nameplate.

Available in four trims, the Escalade IQ caters to both luxury and sport preferences. The base Luxury 1 model features polished 24-inch wheels, an illuminated grille, and LED headlights. Meanwhile, the Sport 1 trim, priced at $130,490, adds body-colored door handles and unique wheel designs. At the top of the lineup are the Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims, priced at $149,990 and $150,490, respectively, which introduce premium amenities like slim vertical HED headlights, a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, and power-adjustable second-row massage seats.

A standout option across all trims is the Executive Second Row Seating Package, offered at $7,500. This upgrade includes an 8-inch rear screen, ventilated and massaging seats, dual wireless chargers, and a 40-speaker AKG audio system, enhancing the luxury experience for rear passengers.

Under the hood, the Escalade IQ is powered by a 200-kWh battery and dual electric motors, generating 680 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque. Activating the Velocity Max mode boosts output to 750 hp and 785 lb-ft, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in under five seconds. Its 800-volt electrical architecture supports DC fast charging, providing 100 miles (161 km) of range in just 10 minutes.

Despite its impressive features, Cadillac acknowledges that potential buyers should weigh depreciation risks associated with EVs. “This is a bold step for Cadillac and a new frontier for the Escalade family,” said a company spokesperson.

The Escalade IQ aims to redefine luxury in the EV market, competing with high-end electric SUVs while staying true to the Escalade’s legacy. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2025.
