Fang Cheng Bao, a sub-brand of BYD, said it has sold 200,000 vehicles since its launch last year, marking a key milestone for the young brand focused on personalized and off-road vehicles.
The company shared the achievement on its official Weibo account, saying it has sold 22,588 vehicles so far in October, up from cumulative sales of 177,412 units at the end of September. The brand said its vehicles have achieved an average transaction price of RMB 238,800 ($33,530) to date.

BYD officially launched Fang Cheng Bao on August 16, 2023, to target the growing off-road and lifestyle vehicle segments in China. The brand currently offers two off-road models under its Bao lineup—the Bao 5, introduced in November 2023, and the Bao 8, launched in November 2024—along with two more family-oriented models in the Tai series, the Tai 3 and Tai 7 SUVs.
According to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), passenger vehicle sales in the RMB 200,000–300,000 range reached 2.7 million units from January to September, compared with 7.81 million in the RMB 100,000–200,000 segment, underscoring Fang Cheng Bao’s positioning within China’s competitive mid- to high-end market.
