Electric SUVs are the talk of the town, but the YangWang U8 is no ordinary vehicle. With a 1,100hp power output from its four electric motors, it already dwarfs its competition. But, that’s not all. The U8 has another statistic that makes it the most formidable electric SUV on the market: its size.

Despite being a new brand, YangWang has launched the most powerful electric SUV to date, and now it turns out, it’s the biggest as well. At 5.3 meters, the U8 is nearly 20cm longer than the Mercedes EQS SUV, nearly 40cm longer than the BMW iX, and 30cm longer than the Volvo EX90. In fact, it’s nearly as long as the standard Cadillac Escalade, which is roughly the size of a three-bedroom house.

But, don’t let its size fool you. The U8 accelerates like a much smaller car, thanks to its 1,280Nm of torque. According to the company, this electric SUV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. And, while its turning radius may not be the best, the U8 has a tank-turn option that comes in handy.

But, that’s not all. The U8 can float. That’s right. While Elon Musk was teasing Cybertruck fans with the possibility of a float mode, YangWang made it a reality. It may not be a speedboat, but it can get you across the water.

Despite its impressive capabilities, the U8 doesn’t skimp on luxuries. It’s a luxury brand after all. Equipped with the latest technology, the U8 has LiDAR sensors in the front fenders, additional sensors on the roof, and an array of cameras that make any driver feel like an action movie star. There are even lights in the D-pillar indicating the state of battery charging.

The U8 is one of the best examples of thinking outside the box. YangWang took the 4×4 idea and showed the world what can be done when you don’t look too much at the past, but rather focus on the future. The U8 is set to debut next month at the Shanghai Auto Show and will go on sale shortly after with a starting price of around $116,000.

YangWang U8 is an electric SUV that outshines its competition in terms of power, size, and capabilities. It’s a luxury vehicle equipped with the latest technology and innovations, making it the ultimate electric monster-of-SUVs.
