BYD has previously confirmed its entry into the European market with three electric vehicles namely the Atto 3, Tang and Han. As part of its efforts to enter the European market, the Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer showcased the three electric vehicles at the Paris Motor Show.
The Paris Motor Show is the most important biennial auto show event in the world. This year’s event is the first since four years ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the Paris Motor Show, BYD came up with a nearly 1,000 square meter booth in Hall 4 to bring new energy technologies and new models to visitors.
“We have great respect for the European automotive industry and its ecosystem, including design, R&D, manufacturing, sales, after-sales network and service,” said Michael Shu, General Manager and Managing Director, BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division.
For the European market, BYD will partner with established local dealers who share the company’s vision and provide customer service, he said.
BYD partner Shell also participated in the launch event and said it provided premium charging for BYD European owners, including unlocking access to some 300,000 Shell charging stacks across Europe.
Previously, BYD had introduced three electric vehicles (Atto 3, Tang, and Han) to the European market at the online launch on September 28. BYD is planned to be present covering all major European markets.
