BYD officially launched the Han EV electric sedan in Brazil. This launch allows BYD to further expand their market in Latin America and the Caribbean after previously entering Colombia, Uruguay, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
The Han EV for the Brazilian market uses four-wheel drive with an acceleration time of 0-60 mps in 3.9 seconds. The Han EV has a NEDC range of 550 km, according to a BYD press release today.
“The BYD Han EV creates a new concept in premium electric cars in the Brazilian market. It is an advanced model, with new solutions, ahead of its time, which represents a true reference in safety, technology, performance, and comfort”, said Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD Company Limited and CEO of BYD Americas.
BYD targets working with dealers in 45 major Brazilian cities and plans to have 100 dealers appointed by the end of 2023, according to the company.
