BYD has officially launched the Da Han EV, a flagship all-electric sedan offered in three variants with starting prices of 235,900 yuan (approximately US$35,200). The model combines a claimed CLTC driving range of up to 1,008 kilometers with a 102.3 kWh second-generation Blade Battery, advanced chassis technology and a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance features.
The launch prices are below the vehicle’s pre-sale prices, with reductions ranging from 14,000 yuan to 24,000 yuan, depending on the variant.
Pricing and Variants
The Da Han EV is available in two rear-wheel-drive configurations and one all-wheel-drive version.
| Variant | Price (yuan) | Approximate Price (US$) |
|---|---|---|
| 1,008 km RWD LiDAR Premium | 235,900 | $35,200 |
| 1,008 km RWD LiDAR Flagship | 249,900 | $37,300 |
| 880 km AWD LiDAR Flagship | 275,900 | $41,200 |
The rear-wheel-drive Premium variant is priced 14,000 yuan below its pre-sale price. The rear-wheel-drive Flagship receives a 20,000-yuan reduction, while the all-wheel-drive Flagship is 24,000 yuan cheaper than its pre-sale price.
The range figures are based on China’s CLTC testing cycle. The corresponding WLTP figures provided for the rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions are 816 km and 713 km, respectively.

The 1,008 km CLTC figure applies to the rear-wheel-drive configuration, while the more powerful all-wheel-drive version has a claimed range of 880 km. CLTC and WLTP figures use different testing procedures and should not be treated as directly equivalent to real-world driving range.
Exterior Design and Dimensions
The Da Han EV follows the established design language of BYD’s Han series. Its front end features an integrated daytime running light assembly measuring 2.41 meters and incorporating 249 LED elements.
A flat front profile and optimized air ducts contribute to a claimed drag coefficient of 0.197.
The sedan measures 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,510 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. It also comes standard with rear-wheel steering, which helps reduce the minimum turning radius to 4.95 meters.
Interior and Comfort Features
The cabin adopts a wraparound layout with white ash wood trim and ambient lighting. The infotainment and display equipment includes a 40-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch 3K central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display.
Audio is provided by a 31-speaker Devialet system configured in a 7.1.4-channel arrangement.
The Da Han EV also features Nappa leather upholstery and front seats with a zero-gravity design. Both front and rear seats offer heating, ventilation and 10-point massage functions.
Rear passengers receive additional equipment, including dual electrically operated leg rests, a folding screen and a small table.
Flash Charging and Chassis Technology
The Da Han EV supports BYD’s flash-charging technology, which is claimed to charge the battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. Actual charging performance may depend on charging equipment, battery temperature and operating conditions.
The chassis incorporates DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension with road-preview capabilities. The system is designed to adjust suspension behavior in response to road conditions. The sedan also includes a crab-walk mode, alongside its standard rear-wheel steering system.
Driver-Assistance Technology
All three variants come standard with BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 intelligent driving system and LiDAR equipment, according to the launch specifications.
The inclusion of these technologies across the lineup places driver assistance among the model’s core features rather than limiting it to the highest-priced configuration.
With its combination of long claimed driving range, high-output powertrains, extensive rear-seat equipment and rapid charging, the Da Han EV expands BYD’s flagship sedan offering in China’s increasingly competitive electric vehicle market.
