BYD (HKG: 1211) has introduced the updated 2026 Xia MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) with significantly reduced pricing to strengthen its position amid intensifying market competition. The model now starts at RMB 206,800 ($29,020), down RMB 43,000, or about 17%, from its predecessor’s starting price of RMB 249,800.
The Xia MPV, the first MPV in BYD’s Dynasty series and the company’s second overall following the Denza D9, was initially launched on January 8, 2025. The updated 2026 version is available in four variants, priced at RMB 206,800, RMB 219,800, RMB 246,800, and RMB 269,800.

With a limited-time RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy, the price range falls between RMB 196,800 and RMB 259,800. The vehicle measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,805 mm in height, with a 3,045 mm wheelbase, maintaining a three-row, seven-seat configuration.
Beyond the price cuts, BYD has enhanced the Xia’s battery range and safety systems. The two entry variants retain a 100-kilometer electric-only range, while the higher-end versions now deliver 218 kilometers, up from 180 kilometers previously. With a full fuel tank and fully charged battery, the 2026 Xia achieves a combined range exceeding 1,100 kilometers. Its 1.5T hybrid powertrain enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 or 8.5 seconds, depending on the variant.
