BYD is ready to enliven the electric car market in Europe by bringing three new cars at once (28/9). Three of BYD’s newest electric cars that will soon greet Europe are the BYD Atto 3, BYD Han EV, and BYD Tang EV.
The BYD Atto 3 will be BYD’s cheapest electric car in Europe, while the BYD Han EV will be the most expensive flagship at launch. This is indicated by the pre-sale price of the Han EV which is priced at 72,000 euros.
What about the specifications? In short, the Han EV has a fairly competitive performance with its rivals.
Starting from the drive system, Han EV has two electric motors all-wheel drive with a combined power of 380 kW or 509 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
BYD claims the Han EV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and can run up to 180 km/h.
Then for the battery, the BYD Han EV is equipped with a Lithium-ion Blade Battery with a capacity of 85.4 kWh.
This battery claims gives the Han EV a mileage of 521 kilometers according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) standard.
But what is impressive about this Han EV Blade Battery technology is its fast charging capability.
Through fast DC charging, the Han EV battery is claimed to be able to be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Regarding features, BYD says the Han EV already gets a standard panoramic sunroof, an efficient AC heat pump, digital instruments, and a 15.6-inch central touch screen.
Not to forget there is a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature that gives the Han EV the ability to share battery power with other electronic devices.
