Bradshaw Electric Vehicles and autonomy firm Oxa on Monday unveiled the Bradshaw T800, an autonomous electric tow tractor designed to transform industrial logistics with advanced automation and sustainability features.
Equipped with Oxa’s self-driving software, the T800 can tow up to eight tonnes and is aimed at high-demand environments such as airports, warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing facilities. The companies said the vehicle enables 24/7 operations, real-time integration with enterprise systems, and advanced safety capabilities.
The vehicle combines a robust electric design with cost savings from reduced labor, fuel and maintenance. “By integrating Bradshaw’s manufacturing expertise with Oxa’s autonomy platform, the T800 delivers scalable, predictable performance for industrial logistics,” the companies said in a joint statement.
Safety systems include sensors to detect obstacles, avoid collisions and reroute dynamically. The tow tractor can also respond to fire alarms by moving out of hazardous areas, while zone management tools adjust speed limits and restrict access where needed.
The T800 supports both autonomous and manual operation, allowing businesses to allocate vehicles flexibly. Remote monitoring enables one operator to oversee multiple units simultaneously. Its emission-free design aligns with environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals by lowering carbon footprints.
The companies said the tractor’s versatility allows it to operate indoors and outdoors, day and night, and across varied weather conditions. Built with an automotive-grade frame and low-maintenance AC traction motor, the vehicle is designed for durability and cost efficiency.
The launch comes as industries facing labor shortages and rising costs look to automation to increase safety, productivity and sustainability in logistics operations.
