BP Pulse has joined ChargeHub’s Passport Hub roaming platform, connecting more than 850 charging points across over 95 locations to a wider network of electric vehicle charging services in North America.
The integration allows EV drivers to locate, access and pay for charging at BP Pulse sites through the ChargeHub app. The charging points will also become available to customers using other e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) and automakers connected to Passport Hub.
The companies have disclosed the number of charging points and locations included in the agreement but have not specified how many are rapid or ultra-rapid chargers. It is also unclear whether all 850 charging points will be accessible through every Passport Hub partner.
Passport Hub Connects Charging Networks
ChargeHub’s Passport Hub is a roaming platform designed to connect charge point operators with mobility service providers and vehicle manufacturers.
The system enables drivers to access charging infrastructure across multiple networks through their existing apps and services, reducing the need to register separately with individual charging operators.
For BP Pulse, the agreement broadens access to its North American charging infrastructure by connecting the network with additional third-party platforms. ChargeHub, meanwhile, expands its roaming ecosystem with another charging operator.
Sujay Sharma, BP Pulse’s vice president of EV Charging for the US, said the partnership would improve access to the company’s network through established roaming providers.
“By partnering with ChargeHub, we’re expanding access to the bp pulse network through trusted roaming partners for EV drivers on the road. Charging networks working better together benefits the entire EV ecosystem and is an important step toward accelerating EV adoption.”
Integration Extends Beyond the ChargeHub App
Simon Ouellette, CEO of ChargeHub, said the addition of BP Pulse demonstrates the growing role of hub-based roaming in the North American charging market.
“When a network like bp pulse chooses to connect through Passport Hub, it’s a strong signal that the hub model has become the way roaming gets done in North America. And because it’s a hub, the impact goes well beyond the ChargeHub app: the eMSPs and automakers in our ecosystem can now offer their drivers access to bp pulse fast chargers through the connection they already have. When one major network joins, the whole ecosystem gets better at once.”
The agreement reflects the industry’s broader effort to improve interoperability between charging networks and digital mobility services. By connecting more operators through shared roaming platforms, providers aim to make public charging easier to access across different markets and service applications.
