You could say that one of the manufacturers that is serious enough to work on the electrification car market is BMW. The manufacturer from Bavaria, Germany has even prepared a special platform for electric cars which they call Neue Klasse. Even one of the BMW Neue Klasse models will later get a drivetrain that can produce more than 1,300 hp.

Adapted from Carscoops on Friday (11/11/2022), BMW’s head of technology development, Frank Weber, said that this electric car would later have a power of up to 1,341 hp. Besides being equipped with great external power, this car will also be equipped with a battery that has a capacity that is no less large, up to 800 Volts.

In his statement, Weber said that this electric car would be one of the markers of a very significant surge in technology development that would be carried out by BMW, especially with the Neue Klasse platform. Several new technologies will later be adopted in this 1,341 hp electric car.

One of them is the use of cylinders compared to prismatic cells which will be one of the main components of the electric car. The effect is that it will provide a larger battery capacity of up to 20%. Then also the efficiency will also increase up to 30% more. And don’t miss it, it can charge up to 30% faster for the same charging usage.

Weber said that this car will be given an additional distance of up to 48 km per minute every time it is used. This is added so that the electric car can at least provide a slightly longer mileage. Even so, Weber does not guarantee to provide the same mileage because this system is only helpful in certain conditions.

In addition, Weber said that the product of this model will provide an increase in aerodynamics which increases by up to 25%. In addition, this car is expected to be the first step for BMW in presenting an electric car which, apart from being very powerful, is also environmentally friendly and provides a longer range.
