Production of the BMW i3 has entered its end. This is due to the improvement of the nomenclature by the manufacturer.

Later, the i3 itself will be replaced by the iX1. An electric SUV taken from the X1. However, with the end of production of the i3, BMW prepared the final edition of the i3. A total of 18 units of the i3 Final Edition have been prepared at the BMW Welt facility in Munich.

Seen, 18 units of the i3 Final Edition have black and gold for the exterior. However, it is not yet known whether there are other differences between the i3 Final Edition and the previously marketed i3.

Previously, BMW also gave a special gift to its lovers with BMW i3 HomeRun Editions as many as 10 units built for the i3s with a two-color model that is the hallmark of the BMW Individual program.

The BMW i3 has long played an important role in BMW’s electrification strategy to open up new market segments. The BMW i3 is the first electric car from a German manufacturer to use a carbon-reinforced plastic structure or Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP).

This car also uses an aluminum chassis mated to an electric motor and battery. BMW also says that the interior of the BMW i3 uses recycled materials.

This i3 farewell series reminds us of the i8 farewell a few years ago. The BMW i8 forms a line with 18 beautiful colors such as Austin Yellow, British Racing Green, to Le Mans Blue.

Each color is said to be the result of collaboration from the wishes of BMW consumers that have not been sold during previous production. In other words, the 18 units of the latest BMW i8 production with unique colors already have their respective masters.
