Blink Charging has launched EnergyConnect, an AI-driven energy management system designed to manage electricity use across EV charging sites and maximize charging capacity within existing electrical infrastructure.
The platform provides site operators with real-time information on energy consumption and charging performance while allowing them to manage power allocation across multiple chargers through a centralized system. Blink said the initial deployment covers 13 company-owned DC fast-charging sites in Florida.

EnergyConnect Adds Centralized Charging Management
EnergyConnect is designed to give charging site operators a consolidated view of their electricity use and charging infrastructure.
The system provides live energy and performance metrics and allows operators to manage groups of chargers through a centralized dashboard. It also supports site-level load limits, including optional daily and weekly schedules.
Its dynamic load-balancing function can adjust power allocation based on real-time demand. The system is intended to help operators manage available electrical capacity and identify approaching limits before they affect charging operations.

Initial Deployment Covers Florida Sites
Blink’s first EnergyConnect deployment is taking place across 13 DC fast-charging locations that it owns in Florida.
The company expects the initial deployment to generate electricity cost savings, although it did not disclose specific savings figures.
Blink plans to expand the platform in phases to additional sites across the United States, United Kingdom and Belgium.

Blink said it intends to expand EnergyConnect beyond charger management as the platform develops.

Planned capabilities include utility integrations and demand-response functionality, as well as management of battery energy storage systems and solar generation.
“EnergyConnect holds the potential to save Blink and its customers thousands of dollars on electricity costs,” said Mike Battaglia, President and CEO of Blink Charging.
Battaglia said the system is intended to improve management of charging infrastructure and support greater use of existing electrical capacity.
The company sees EnergyConnect as part of its broader strategy to connect and manage distributed energy assets across the Blink Network through a centralized platform.
The initial rollout will provide Blink with operational experience as it expands the system to additional charging locations and develops its planned integrations with other energy assets.
