Blink Charging Co., a U.S.-based electric vehicle (EV) charging provider, has entered into a partnership with Luxembourg’s Nexxtlab to integrate smart energy management tools designed to optimize charging for businesses operating EV fleets across Europe.

The collaboration incorporates Blink’s charging stations into Nexxtlab’s Smartmaster platform, which connects with inverters, chargers and energy storage systems using standardized protocols. The system considers renewable energy forecasts and user preferences such as driving range and parking duration to align charging with solar production while reducing strain on the power grid.

“This collaboration redefines EV infrastructure by offering a fully integrated approach that improves performance and resiliency,” said Mike Battaglia, CEO and president of Blink Charging. Nexxtlab’s chief executive, Olivier Piraux, added that Smartmaster’s “asset-flexible design effortlessly manages diverse energy setups, paving the way for a one-stop ecosystem benefiting businesses and EV drivers.”

The companies said the scalable platform could lower operating costs, enhance energy independence and accelerate charging infrastructure deployment. Blink Charging, listed on Nasdaq as BLNK, operates a proprietary cloud-based network that manages charging stations across a wide range of sites including workplaces, residential complexes and retail locations.

Nexxtlab, known for its digital grid products such as Smarty+ and Smarty Pro, provides white-label energy management services that allow utilities, installers and service providers to integrate EV chargers, solar PV systems and battery storage. The firms said their joint effort is aimed at helping businesses adapt to Europe’s energy transition while supporting the growth of electric mobility.
