Europe-based consultancy BearingPoint has partnered with SAP to launch a modular, cloud-based fleet and charging infrastructure management platform designed to streamline operations for businesses transitioning to electric mobility.

The new solution is built on ETM.next and integrated into SAP E-Mobility, allowing fleet managers and charge point operators (CPOs) to consolidate their workflows in a single system. The platform supports everything from vehicle and charge card management to EVSE monitoring and charging operation tracking, including compliance with ESG reporting standards.

“With this solution, we are addressing a crucial need for businesses transitioning to electromobility in a rapidly evolving and currently fragmented market,” said Nina London, Partner at BearingPoint. “It is a game-changer for fleet operators looking to future-proof their mobility strategies.”

Key features highlighted by the developers include total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, automated charging processes, asset lifecycle management, and enhanced data visibility. The end-to-end digitalization is expected to improve cost efficiency and unlock new operational savings across diverse user scenarios.

SAP continues to expand its footprint in e-mobility through initiatives such as its roaming partnership with France-based Gireve and ongoing vehicle-to-grid (V2G) pilot projects in Germany. The company recently delegated management of its in-house charging infrastructure to subsidiary Amperfied, further underlining its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

BearingPoint employs more than 13,000 people across 70 countries. The Berlin-headquartered consultancy firm sees this new system as a core element of its strategy to drive digital transformation in the mobility sector, particularly for commercial fleets.
