The Swiss Federal Roads Office has opened a project call to establish Switzerland’s first dedicated, demand-oriented fast-charging network for electric heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), seeking private operators to build and run charging parks at 32 locations along national roads. Swiss Federal Roads Office, also known as ASTRA, said the tender covers rest areas and heavy traffic control centres and is split into three lots: two comprising 11 fixed locations each and a third covering 10 locations. The initiative is aimed at accelerating the electrification of freight transport under Switzerland’s Roadmap Electromobility 2030. Under the plan, ASTRA will provide grid connections…
Dunamis Charge and DTE Energy have completed a pilot program that installed more than 100 electric vehicle charging ports across underserved neighborhoods in Detroit, the companies said, marking a step toward expanding access to EV infrastructure in communities with historically limited coverage. The initiative, known as Communities in Charge, deployed 102 charging ports at 26 locations during 2025. The installations consist of 56 Level 2 dual-port chargers placed at community-focused sites such as nonprofit organizations and places of worship, according to Dunamis Charge. All of the equipment used in the pilot complies with Buy America, Build America (BABA) requirements, the…
Fuel station operator Circle K has expanded its electric vehicle charging network in Germany with six new locations, adding a total of 43 fast-charging points and introducing charging infrastructure for electric trucks in the country for the first time. Circle K, owned by Canada’s Alimentation Couche-Tard, took over the German petrol station network and fuel card business from TotalEnergies nearly two years ago. In December 2024, the company also assumed responsibility for operating the charging stations at its sites, excluding those being developed under TotalEnergies’ Deutschlandnetz programme. AmpUp said it has launched a new Pricing Recommendation Engine for its EV Cloud charging platform, aiming to help charging site operators set competitive prices while managing revenue targets and utility costs. The feature is integrated into AmpUp’s Pro Plan at no additional cost and is compatible with all supported charging hardware, the company said. It combines local utility tariffs, historical site usage and nearby competitor pricing to generate automated pricing guidance, updating recommendations as utility rates and regulations change. “Pricing uncertainty is the biggest barrier preventing site operators from maximizing their EV charging investments,” said Tom Sun, chief executive…
Rightcharge has launched a refreshed brand identity alongside new operating principles intended to support its growing role in the UK electric vehicle fleet sector. The update includes a “Transparency Promise,” new automation tools and a commitment to clearer communication as the company expands beyond its early start-up phase. The newly announced “Transparency Promise” formalises Rightcharge’s practice of not adding hidden margins or fees to home or public charging prices. The company said the initiative is intended to provide fleets with greater clarity over charging costs, noting that the approach has been part of its pricing model since 2019. “Fleets should…
Emobi has announced a partnership with Flipturn to add roaming and authentication capabilities to charging sites operated through Flipturn’s management platform. The collaboration connects multifamily properties, workplaces and fleet depots using Flipturn’s software to Emobi’s roaming hub, enabling drivers to access chargers through automaker platforms, fleet tools and major consumer charging apps. Under the agreement, Flipturn-managed chargers will become discoverable across Emobi’s roaming network, allowing drivers to authenticate, start sessions and pay using familiar methods already supported at public charging locations. Site owners retain full control of pricing, access and infrastructure management while gaining access to a broader pool of…
The French national railway company, SNCF, is undertaking a major initiative to install a total of 5,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across its various sites in France, aiming to facilitate the electrification of its service and pool vehicle fleet. SNCF has formalized a strategic cooperation agreement with technology partners Virta and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes to execute the rollout. The partnership holds Eiffage and Virta responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the charging infrastructure for a minimum of six years. The deployment has been underway for several months. To date, 105 charging points have been commissioned at SNCF’s…
Gridserve, the UK electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has introduced ABB E-mobility’s new A400 fast charger, with the first unit now operational at the Centaurus Park charging hub in Bristol. The ABB A400 charger delivers 400kW of ultra-rapid charging power and features two CCS charging ports with dynamic power sharing. Gridserve confirmed that this functionality allows the 400kW capacity to be modulated between two vehicles based on their respective charging needs, providing compatible EVs with up to 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes, depending on usage.
