The SUV is offered in four variants, ranging up to 219,800 yuan. The vehicle measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, 1,865 mm in height, and has…
May Mobility said it has expanded its autonomous transit project in northern Minnesota, adding new stops, extended service hours and accessible vehicles to its goMARTI 2.0 program in Itasca County. The initiative, backed by U.S. federal and state funding, aims to showcase how autonomous technology can strengthen rural transit networks. The expanded service in Grand Rapids, Minnesota – the northernmost U.S. city with active AV service – now includes key destinations such as Itasca Community College, Second Harvest Northland Foodshelf, Walmart and the Judy Garland Museum. Operating hours have been extended to run Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to…
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and MotoGP said on Thursday they will discontinue the MotoE World Championship after the 2025 season, citing limited fan engagement and a lack of progress in electric performance motorcycles. Launched in 2019 with four rounds and six races, MotoE expanded to eight rounds with 16 races before being scaled back to seven rounds at select European circuits for 2025. The format, featuring short races of fewer than 10 laps and lap times comparable to Moto3 machines, struggled to capture a wider audience. https://twitter.com/MotoEofficial/status/1966065470294896802 “Today we announce the suspension of the FIM MotoE World Championship as…
Five of Europe’s seven largest truck manufacturers are set to meet the European Union’s first CO2 reduction target for heavy-duty vehicles ahead of schedule, according to an analysis by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). The EU requires a 15% cut in average emissions from new trucks and buses by 2025 compared with 2019 levels. The ICCT report, Within Reach: The 2025 CO2 targets for new heavy-duty vehicles in Europe, found that Scania and Volvo Trucks already exceed the benchmark, while Renault Trucks, DAF and MAN are expected to comply by using accumulated credits and regulatory flexibilities. By contrast,…
Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle brand LiveWire has filed a U.S. trademark for the name “S4 Honcho,” signaling a possible new model that could expand its lineup beyond urban-focused bikes. The application, submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, covers “electric motorcycles and structural parts therefor.” While the filing does not provide technical details, the “S4” designation suggests the model could represent a larger, more premium platform compared with LiveWire’s current offerings. LiveWire now markets two platforms: the flagship LiveWire One and the more adaptable S2 line, which underpins the Del Mar, Mulholland and Alpinista models. The company has already teased…
Innoviz Technologies said it has been selected by a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer to supply its InnovizTwo LiDAR platform for a future series production of SAE Level 4 autonomous trucks. The agreement positions Innoviz as a core supplier for the truckmaker’s autonomous program, which will focus on class-8 semi-trucks designed for deployment across North American routes. Initial units of the InnovizTwo sensor will be delivered this year to support the automaker’s data collection fleet, the company said. In addition to supplying hardware, Innoviz will develop tailored software modifications to ensure integration of its LiDAR system with the truckmaker’s autonomous driving…
Israeli autonomous mobility company Carteav has launched its driverless vehicle service at Ramat Gan National Park, in what the firm and city officials describe as a first-of-its-kind deployment in a major urban green space. The initiative, developed in partnership with the City of Ramat Gan, introduces low-speed autonomous shuttles designed to operate safely alongside pedestrians and cyclists. The service currently runs on a fixed route with designated stops, with plans to evolve into an on-demand model as adoption grows. Ramat Gan’s mayor, Carmel Shama HaCohen, said the program supports the city’s broader strategy of integrating new technologies to improve accessibility.…
New Zealand-based electric boat maker Vessev has signed its first European customer for the VS-9 hydrofoil, with luxury hotel Finn Lough in Northern Ireland set to use the craft for guest tours starting in 2026. The VS-9 is among the first electric boats globally to employ hydrofoiling technology, which lifts the vessel above the water on carbon fibre foils to reduce drag. The catamaran-style craft can carry ten passengers and reach speeds of up to 25 knots (46.3 kph). Hydrofoiling gained prominence in 2013 when New Zealand’s America’s Cup team deployed it in sailing competition, inspiring the founders of Vessev…
Autel Energy on Saturday introduced a new generation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure featuring liquid-cooled power modules, scalable cabinet systems, and upgraded all-in-one chargers, in a move to meet surging demand for ultra-fast and reliable charging solutions. The platform is powered by Autel’s proprietary MaxiModule LCM60/120 liquid-cooled modules, available in 60-kilowatt and 120-kilowatt variants. The company said the modules are engineered for high efficiency, stability, and long-term performance under heavy loads, helping operators cut costs through higher uptime and lower total ownership costs. The new modules are integrated into the MaxiCharger DS600L cabinet system, designed for large-scale deployments with…
Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor on Monday unveiled the B05 hatchback at the Munich auto show, positioning the compact model as part of its push into Europe’s affordable EV segment. A federal appeals court on Friday struck down a Biden-era regulation that reshaped how electric vehicles’ (EVs) fuel economy is measured, handing a legal victory to 13 Republican-led states that claimed the rule overstated EV efficiency and undermined emissions targets. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis said the Department of Energy (DOE) acted beyond its authority when it sought to gradually phase out a “fuel content” adjustment between the 2027 and 2030 model years, rather than eliminate it outright. That factor, in place for decades, inflated petroleum-equivalent ratings for EVs to account for energy losses when…
